Hello weevils!
Looking at the blog on Bin Weevils over the past couple of weeks/months, it seems to have gotten to the stage where all the actual news is actually related to Weevil World and not Bin Weevils despite it being on the Bin Weevils website. Now, I have touched up on this before but since then, it seems to have got a lot worse since then. Let me elaborate.
In addition to the departure of moderators drewbian and unicron7022, this would have likely been a major blow to 55Pixels being as they have a small team as it is and without these moderators, the annoyingly repetitive and boring flash mobs that used to dominate Bin Weevils month after month can't even be hosted as efficiently anymore resulting in a lot less attention given to the game.
Moreover, the cuts given to the art department within the company have likely also resulted in no more pointless and repetitive accessory updates such as new nest items that used to highlight several months along with out-of-context area revamps that have highly contributed to destroying the design on Bin Weevils altogether etc. And the people left within the art department would of course need to put all their time into Weevil World as after all, it is a new game.
Overall, getting rid of these two main factors have left us with only annual Best Nest, Garden of the Week and Weevil of the Week competitions along with promotions (aka 55Pixels's economy) and occasional code giveaways when it comes to Bin Weevils. I am quite shocked to see the game is still open being as that it fails to even host meet and greet events which literally only involve having to log in and go somewhere in the game and virtually walk about for an hour!
It is extremely upsetting to see that there is more Weevil World than Bin Weevils on the blog and it is also very painful to see how this once active and populated game has become a zombie game that is literally begging to be put out of it's misery.
Are they expecting us to have to watch this suffering until May 7th 2018?
That's it for this post!
