Hello weevils!
Things simply start to get more bleak in terms of the future that 55Pixels has and many times I even wonder if there is even a point in having to write about all this since at this rate, the company is likely doomed no matter what path they take!
Throughout a month now, we have had the usual 'Best Nest' and 'Garden of the Week' as well as brief promotions on Bin Weevils in order to try and paint liveliness in the game even though it actually does sod all in reality and as for Weevil World, all things have generally been revolved around have of course been the annual 'Weevil of the Week' competitions but also that it has only really been this in terms of new content:

Yes, the game hasn't even been out for two years and it is already beginning to show signs of first stage decline in support similar to Bin Weevils in terms of that they're only delivering accessory based updates.
The last major update was the Wild West location and that in itself was released a month ago! What is going on here? Weevil World was literally getting lots of support and major content implemented but it was until that one update that things simply started revolving around items only!
But maybe the game was doomed to begin with? I mean, these types of web browser games are virtually becoming obsolete and kids these days are more into mobile platform games and online games which run via some form of game engine. Now, Weevil World does of course have its own mobile compatibility and I think it was an excellent decision for it to be ported onto phone and tablet devices however, the idea that the exact same game is also powered on a web browser limits it to what it can do overall which in itself makes it less efficient towards competitors such as Club Penguin Island and hey, lets even throw in fortnight whilst I am at it! Furthermore, the graphics and use of many luminous colours only apply to a very young demographic which are of an age where:
So the stage we are currently at is that we have a completely embarrassing game (AKA Bin Weevils) that simply wants to be shot in the head already along with what seemed to be a potential game (AKA Weevil World) which seems to be starting to slip back a little. Now of course, they could by all means be preparing something huge behind the curtains for the game but if you are, it would help if you at least hinted at it in someway because it gives people a purpose to keep coming back to the game and one things for sure: constant 'new item' updates are definitely not going to keep players active and engaged!
Weevil World has been out for just over a year now and things have been delivered at a snail pace which is certainly not good for a new game. At this rate 55Pixels, what you ought to just do is take out a loan, hire a new unit of professional staff and then use what is left on many advertisements (preferably television ads) in order to actually give yourself a platform. Its no good trying to reach out to your current audience such as myself who are way too old as well as already past a breaking point with you so its really best that you try picking up business elsewhere! Taking out a loan itself may be quite the gamble but at this rate, you will likely go bankrupt if you carry on the way you are anyway so maybe its good to take a chance?
Will 55Pixels become the next ToysRUs? Only time will tell...
That's it for this post!

- They likely can't properly operate a computer, phone and tablet
- Don't really have much money and thus can't really give you money unless they use their parents'
- They probably don't even have their own device to begin with and use one owned by someone else!
