Bin Weevils' Current Logo
Issues
Also, an animation of the logo shining from an official Binweevils Q&A video destroys the only thing related to a bin from the game - slime.
- Not even the logo has a 'bin' feeling since it is clean from dirt.
- Bloggers are turning the 'W' upside down to make it look like an 'M' when they are making logos and I personally think that it looks hideous and these bloggers could have came up with a much better look if they didn't get influenced by the logo.
- The current logo looks incredibly basic and far too easy to recreate. Being honest, the first logo looks more creative and denotes more of a message.
- They could have spent their time designing a new Bin Badge and quite frankly, why on Earth would something that isn't even that famous need a logo change?

Gong's Pipenest
Issues
- It has that well known sky that seems to be in most of this modern 'bin'. Now, if your going to update an area, do your job properly and actually think before re-making it.
- If you look at the new one (on the left) and an older one (on the right), you can clearly see they have even made the movement space smaller, making it even harder to get around if someone happens to get mobbed there.
- Now, Bin Weevils must be pretty stupid since they removed one of the pipes and the worst part about this is that the third pipe was used for promotions so it just gives less space which results in seeing even more advertisements in the game. There are already a lot of advertisements as it is.
- Yet again, they are removing the concept of it being a bin due to the sky as mentioned above and since that all the mould and slime as been deceased and there is just nothing to make it look like an inside of a bin.
- The surface is a cloud - is it up in the sky?!?
Shopping Mall
Issues
- It has that well known sky that seems to be in most of this modern 'bin'. Now, if your going to update an area, do your job properly and actually think before re-making it.
- The space has been made even smaller so now you spawn in a very squashed up place.
- 'Pod 1', which was occasionally used as TV promotion has been removed so now TV promotions squeeze up with other ones found down at Rigg's Cinema
- Doesn't even look like a mall anymore. Instead, it looks more like what you take out a mall rather than what is a mall. That explains how much Bin Weevils are getting 'carried' away...
Rigg's Palladium
Issues
- It has that well known sky that seems to be in most of this modern 'bin'. Now, if your going to update an area, do your job properly and actually think before re-making it
- The courtyard has been made smaller than ever and the worst part about this area is that Rigg's Cinema courtyard was used for hangouts and for great photos for your magazines. Now, you might as well not bother cause where ever you try to walk, you'll probably just be looking at a weevil's profile instead.
- The old cinema itself was a milk cartoon, which was in fact something you would find in a bin. Now it is an actual cinema that you would find outside a bin. It really doesn't take much learning to know what inside a bin looks like. I mean, after-all, it doesn't even involve having to get inside a bin itself.
- The inside has also been cramped up.
- It has 5 screens. It may be an improvement from the version it recently updated from (as it had 4 floors) but what happened to the 8 screens that was there until 2010? They sure would have had more space for promotions if they kept it that way.
The level up system
Issues
- The early levels (from around Level 1-15) doesn't even involve effort. You could easily Level up to level 7 in one day just by putting in a few codes.
- Crap rewards - From around Level 50 onwards it gets really really stupid. You are literally expected to get over 10,000 XP to reach your next level and all you get is a trophy. Sometimes you may get a special move but they are just a pile of junk anyway and can't be used for beneficial reasons. Anyway, the point is that I'm not going to collect over 10,000 XP, just so I can get a crappy trophy. The only reason why I'm Level 70 in the first place is because I just can't stand seeing gaps that have to be filled.
- When you reach the highest level which is currently Level 70, you don't get any special reward. Just a plain old trophy that you had been earning for the previous 69 levels.
- Getting experience from actual gameplay methods is just irritating. I mean, you probably get an average on 10 XP points per game and you can't constantly get XP since there is a daily limit. Levelling from level 69 to level 70 would probably take a year if you did it taking XP from games everyday. You don't even get a lot of mulch from them, which brings me onto my next point.
- XP is so easy when you spend money because all you have to do is put in a load of mulch codes, which will likely take you to 10,000 mulch, buy as many plants as you can, plant them all. Then after a few minutes, hours or days you can just harvest them all, giving you lots of profit mulch as well as XP points and then you could just go to the shop and buy lots of things and gain way more XP points than you would by just putting in actual effort.
Hats
Issues
- 9 feathered hats are being too over used since they are basically the only hat for the high levels who like to show off. Now, I wear a 9 feathered hat but to be honest, it does suit me and there isn't much variety as it is. There is some sort of crown but that is available for a few levels under.
- A lot of hats are over priced. There are a lot of hats that cost about 150 dosh and higher. Now, all you ever can do is wear them. Nothing else. I mean, they don't even gain any XP points or anything, it is just an accessory that goes on your head. BinCard Vouchers generally take ages to collect up if you wanted to get one of those hats for free and you would need to buy a more expensive membership to be able to get that one thing.
Why getting rid of Tycoon Island was such a disaster
Issues
- I wasn't much of a fan of the place myself since the slime pool was just an area with a game and the tycoon TV Towers is just another cinema that is barely even used and that the only place I found useful was the Tycoon Plaza. Now, this area was actually enjoyed by many others and I have to say, it is a better place than most of the modernised areas you see nowadays. Now, the first problem with this was that all the tycoon shopping could be all done in one place. Simple. But then they decided to suddenly get rid of this place and spread it around the rest of the map and the worst part was that they moved Hem's Hats inside Dosh's Palace which would have made it hard to find. Me myself, had a struggle finding it when it moved.
- It actually had enough space to do those flash mobs and photos.
- All you get now is weevils constantly spamming moderators by asking them to bring back Tycoon Island. This place was obviously loved by the newer generation and I guess removing it was just like how they took Kip's Scrapyard and other areas away from us.
Promotions
Issues
This section has been created by TurboWeevil
- Bin Weevil's popularity at the start of its years on the web rested on the shoulders of Nickelodeon. They were the ones that had put all the effort into promoting what was a relatively new game. However, the amount of users up until 2010 had been fairly run of the mill.
- After Bin Weevils parted company with Nick in April 2010, they were left to do the work themselves in terms of promoting the game to a potentially substantial kids' audience. They had done a good job of it, undeniably users increased from 2011-2014.
- However, in many ways Bin Weevils have gone beyond the call of duty in promoting other parties as well as features of their game too. Example, they in a way endorsed their screen completely with advertisements and promotional parties, and where they decide to place them in-game requires thought. For example, in Rigg's Movie Multiplex, not only has the screen changed, but the exterior and interior is completely packed to the brim of what I believe, are one gender promotional advertisements.
- As well as this, Bin Weevils do in a way exhort is to do certain things they want us to do. Example, the Bin Tycoon Membership seems as if they're pressuring our parents to fund Bin Tycoon Membership, and there was also one year where we didn't receive prizes for the BAFTAs when we had won and voted. Yes, they require revenue via promotional parties due to financial circumstances, but sometimes it spiralled out of control, click here to find out how Bin Weevils got in trouble with advertising standards.

Their 'Slapdash' back stories and how they don't have a storyline
Issues
- Having a storyline and back stories are one of the main elements of a good game (in my opinion) and Bin Weevils is clearly a bad example of one. For example, they made two back stories. Let me start off with 'The Unknown Weevil'. This back story was about how the evil villain 'Weevil X' became who he is and the thing that really didn't make sense was that firstly, he went to the area of 'Nest Street' in the story which wouldn't have been out before he became evil and secondly, the whole Weevil X situation was supposed to be a mystery, though as seen on the picture on the left, these celebrity weevils seemed to have knew the origin themselves so it shouldn't have really been a whole mystery in the first place if celebrities knew.
- Moving onto another back story, Bin Weevils decided to release their 'staff only' super antennas for easy access to all Bin Tycoons which only involved a click of a chest. This isn't the main point in this section though, my main point is that the origin story they made was completely things they just made up from first ideas. The story was that Scribbles had this 'grey antenna' and that he was wandering around these islands for some reason and got given the super antenna through opening a chest. Now, this has various problems as Scribbles' baby photo clearly shows him wearing that 'Super Antenna' he was supposed to have found, his cousin and big weevil coincidentally have it though Scribbles makes it out like he is the only one to find it and Scribbles' cousin himself states that 'he was born with them' on a photo from callum390's tycoon camera.
- From reading those two huge points above, it seems Bin Weevils don't seem to care about the game and why what else would they care about you might ask? Why that is money of course, which they snatch of all the children who decide to read their membership page.
Flem Manor
Issues
- It has that well known sky that seems to be in most of this modern 'bin'. Now, if your going to update an area, do your job properly and actually think before re-making it.
- Flem Manor was that ideal spot where those 'role players' decided to ruin the game's atmosphere and since they made the courtyard over 2x smaller, the role players aren't as spread out and any weevil that is trying to play the game will just spawn in the crowd.
- Way too colourful, is it that they are trying to play with children's minds?
- They have added nothing new and have wasted precious time. Speaking of not adding new things, they add a 'swimming pool' and 'maze' which could have either been made into an actual feature or had put something else there to use. Just look at all that space wasted!
- Is it me or did they just get the old Flem Manor and re decorate over it with their luminous colours and hideous (but very artistic and nice for something else) drawings?
Flash Mobs
Issues
- You've been to one, you've been to all of them.
- They spend so much time every month preparing these when they could probably add some quality gameplay.
- All you ever get is weevils spamming 'Add me' or 'Invite me' even after the famous weevil instructs that they can't do that.
- They keep making too many famous weevil characters and they spread them across the 2 or 3 servers they have which makes it entirely easy to find them.
- Due to the fact that there are barely any 3D areas and that all the 2D areas keep getting smaller, there is no point since you'll likely not even see them and when you get to see them, you can't get any good photos as either the weevil will show up small or your view will just get blocked by big speech bubbles.
- In all the flash mobs I've been to, there will always be at least one person who will attend the mobs and will impersonate the famous celebrity that is going to come. It is so irritating. People will go as far as creating a new weevil with a similar look to the celebrity and will scramble through available names that are close to it's name and then fool young players that they are the real deal.
- It is nothing special, just a normal adult at a desk saying random crap and will fail at pretending to act out the weevil's personality. There was one time where Rigg stated 'Dirt is gross' even though he uses something called 'building mulch' and what is mulch you may ask? Well let me just say that it is not just the currency.
What's the point of Nest Street?
Issues
This section has been suggested by Tum103
- Why do we actually need it? Flash Mobs? Big woop, the roaming space isn't even large enough to host a party like that and Flum's Fountain and the Time Portal should be used cause you can get up close without seeing just a load of weevils squashed up.
- Same games, same type of area and has that irritating 'sky' that seems to be in this 'bin' a lot lately.
- They could have been creating something else in this time and is it me or have they just abandoned the development of the area because there are paths that should lead to Flum's Fountain, your garden, Lab's Lab and an unknown pond area seen on the map which will likely just be another one of their failure of a hangout area. We already have enough as it is!
- Not only they go against it being a concept of it being inside a bin, but they have also gone against the concept of it being a street. If I were to make this area, I'd have a dirt road (like in dirt valley), street lamps made out of straw, actually finish off the area with leading paths, replace that god awful sky with a nice blue wall (like you would do in a bin) and implement something like an SWS Mission area for instance for a new mission which is something we actually need.

The Summer Fair
Issues
This section has been suggested by Doshy
- When the Summer Fair came out, it may have had those luminous colours to control peoples minds and that god awful sky but it was some quality gameplay that we hadn't seen in a while. The next year, they change things around and add even more features, even better and good so far but what do they do the year after that? Why they recycle it of course! The Summer Fair 2015 was the exact same as the 2014 Summer Fair. All they had was new accessories which is a big woop cause our nest rooms are way too small and things such as those big teddy bears are a nightmare to get in one of your rooms.
- The token system - There has been times when I've put in hard effort into Summer Fair games to get those tokens but then the servers end up crashing so I log out. Now, this is a problem because they coded their tokens in a way that you lose them all when you log out. How unfair. So basically, people who want to get tokens actually have to be on their computer at a time when they aren't busy.
- Moving back onto the point they recycled the exact same Fair in 2015, the fair that year also was released late and had to run all through September with an excuse of it being 'Scribbles' birthday present'. They messed up big time. Obviously they must have been thinking about money than the actual game to have forgotten one of the most biggest breakthroughs in the previous 2 Summers...

Dirt Valley
Issues
- The roaming space has been made a bit smaller, making the area not being able to adapt to the population of the community once again!
- You call it Dirt Valley? It has an Arizona setting full of sand!
- The colours in the modern day area are awful! How Bin Weevils set them out were so bad, that it looks of the quality of a primary school student's presentation/website!
- They made a drive in cinema just so they can get paid for advertising so nowadays, many of us don't see it as that race track aimed at the players.
- A load of time spent. Nothing new like a Track 4, something we can benefit from. No, they add a stupid drive in cinema and call it their new added feature to the re-done area.
- To add on the point that they have made it worse; they have changed what was once a daily high score leaderboard into a buddy leaderboard which you can clearly access through the old buddy list. Overall you could say that the percentage of new features within this revamp is a negative number in which that it is not even neutral so what was the actuall point of revamping in the first place? (Their horrible cinema could have easily went into the old dirt valley!).
The Slime Slides
Issues
This section has been created by TurboWeevil
- When 'Bin' Weevils released another of those rare but juvenile and insipid updates on their game, they were most probably thinking of the elementary but idle way to earn money. They thought: 'Oh, boy, why not recycle a piece of used content from Tycoon Island, which we foolishly got rid of, and redecorate it in accordance with the colourful, shiny and vibrant updates that we've brought to light to our players on our game?! The players won't mind!'
- If they were going to release such a simplified but ripped off feature that would have taken them barely any time to design and release, the worst they could have done was make the area limited to Bin Tycoons, and make these kids/adults who have funded Bin Tycoon Membership feel that their money wasn't worth it in the first place. Of course they went with this.
- Plus, there isn't anything special / there's no novelty that makes it worth enough to be a Tycoon only area.
- What they've tried to do is make it look as if the feature is unique and hasn't been reused from the Bin Tycoon Slime Slides (but it has), by adding this evident changes, and having a subtle change, so that new players wouldn't know about what Bin Weevils have really done, which is in this case, pretend that this feature hasn't been reused.
- What, most annoys me is that they've made the Slime Pool look lush, shiny and green - since when did slime resemble any type of shimmer or glimmer? Even worse, they've added a cloud setting, which blows the idea of Bin Weevils being a 'Bin' completely out of context, and takes us into an unknown city / island paradise.

Broken Promises
Issues
This section has been created by TurboWeevil
- As players of the community state on social media & sometimes even in-game, the players are where some of the gameplay from originates from, as the community have project and sites that aid the players in sharing their opinions and getting them across to the staff. Long-term players are also audiences that need to be regarded highly, as they will know what's right for Bin Weevils to integrate with to re-create the memorable childhood days of Bin Weevils in the old Bin. That's not to say that the newer generation can't express their views, either.
- Now, as we all know, King Of The Bin, which was one of few competitive aspects that had steel and brought a unique sensation to the game, was tragically removed in 2010, which obviously caused conflict with the players. Players spent years and time on this virtual world giving valid reasons why the team should bring the feature, and finally, Swathe, an official team member, said "King Of The Bin will return". Most of the team weren't even around when King Of The Bin was a feature, as most have a work experience at Bin Weevils for about 3 years.
- KOTB wasn't just about winning a crown and a trophy with jewels on it. There was more to it, there was context, the feature itself was good enough to overlook mini-games, and there was this sensation to the feature that enticed players to get involved with competitions etc in the day. Nowadays, Bin Weevils are now insulting the feature by recycling the crown and not making it an exclusive item!
- Making items non-exclusive epitomises the capitalism of Bin Weevils. If they want to be unique from other Weevils, rather than finding an easier way to gain money, there may not be even any need for mini-games, especially the ones at Sink's Ships.
- Promising features that give the game more potential, but then overruling it, just causes conflict with their players everywhere, which causes them to block players on social media for expressing their opinion, which makes them perhaps butthurt at best.
- An example of a broken promise which had potential was not only the KOTB promise, but Bin Badges, player cards, etc. Private servers would contribute towards having an environment where the players get listened to rather than playing a capitalist game who are interested for their paycheques. If 55pixels wonder why so little players log in now, and lack trust and faith in the team (we've had that patience for years now, as the players & community), they can always look towards the promises they've broken!

Commenting on the Blog
Issues
- From comparing the two images above, we can clearly see 55Pixels have cut out the bits which had the disadvantages in. I mean seriously? This is a country of freedom of speech in which they are clearly going against and are being biased towards themselves. It's as if they really don't want other players seeing their true colours which doesn't surprise me really.
- You are in no way notified if someone replies to your comment. What is the actuall point of having a reply system in the first place when you have to look through various comments within the page just to simply check if anyone has replied to your comment?
- However, from mentioned in the first point; the idea that negative opinions/attitudes are purged and that only good feedback is approved simply makes it no 'Discussion' what so ever. I mean, how is it exactly possible to do what is highlighted above if everything in the comments is one-sided? The issue I'm trying to get at here is that 55Pixels have labelled something which isn't actually true.

Slam's Toy Box
Issues
- It is a total slap-dash of an area! The outside of the original, classical, beloved version of Slam's Party Box has been simplified and re-decorated into a horribly themed toy box! Not only that, but when you go inside, it is an exact copy of the inside you get inside Tycoon TV Towers
- Sign posts don't adapt to the modern map and the Rum's Cove sign post doesn't even go anywhere!
- From the map's perspective, it still shows the old-fashioned clip art of the original party box rather than a toy box which shows more laziness
- This wasn't what players had in mind by when they were constantly asked 55Pixels to bring back Slam's Party Box!
The Harvest Helper
Issues
- Players simply asked for a form of button that harvests all your plants, not some out-of-context fantasy robot that removes all your plants.
- A basic feature that should allow everyone to manage the entire quantity of plants in their garden is only made for paying members - which is the equivalent to having to pay to just use a 'select all' feature when ticking boxes on a checklist.
- The feature is made way too complicated than of what players asked for. This is in fact the idea that you must wait 24 hours in order to use the feature again or if you happen to plant a bunch of speedy seeds and red roses after using it, you must either wait a whole day or pay 5 dosh just to use the feature again in under 24 hours - which yet again comes at a real-world payment just to use a basic feature that should be available for everyone.
- Players have been asking for a form of harvest all feature for over 3 years and when finally being created, 55Pixels just had to still find a way of trying to place a market scheme into a small feature that only could have involved a small program and a feature that should have been created a long time ago!
Banning
Issues
- Players that bully/harass others and really damage a person's feelings gets a less stricter punishment than to a player who would change a bit of code and perform an exploit
- Chat suspensions can be given for saying things like "I am the walrus" and other words/phrases that shouldn't really block your chat
- If 55Pixels knew someone did a hack due to watching a YouTube tutorial, they will still permanently ban your account without any warning
- If you were hacked and the hacker got your account banned, 55Pixels will likely treat the situation like a circumstance where you yourself performed the hacks and would then constantly request your parent/guardian to phone up
- 55Pixels have treated others differently. e.g. Kenny gets unbanned just by E-Mailing them about his banned account whilst many other players are asked for their parent/guardians to phone up.

The Buddy Messenger
Issues
This section has been suggested by the Bin Buds (Marie6667, Polly687 & Daisy9131)
- Despite improving the messages by sectioning them into each individual weevil (rather than all the messages being muddled onto one of many pages thus preventing confusion when replying to messages), they have moved it onto a much smaller screen with hideous colours which go against the original sorts of colours Bin Weevils was founded upon.
- The Buddy List and Buddy News has been moved onto here which wasn't really necessary and in the course of moving, the old list is still up by which half of what was on it remains (the Ignore List and Leaderboards) making it very unprofessional (but I do strongly praise them for adopting the idea of extending the buddy quantities along with this pointless creation)
- Buddy List is still extremely buggy despite being out for several months. For instance, if your list is full and someone sends you a request, you cannot remove the friend requests unless you delete a buddy.
- In addition to shrinking the size of the interface, the Buddy News section can get even more over filled when you have many active players on your buddy list!
- Instead of a mailbox which suited a game based in a bin, they use a MOBILE PHONE! Now, why on earth would someone throw a working phone in a bin?!?

Unreleased content in waiting
Issues
- It has been in it's current status of 'Coming Soon' for many years as if it is never going to ever come out.
- It makes the game look very unprofessional with all the unfinished features and it simply loses trust between the creators and the players.
- Players get their hopes up and get excited for nothing watching a certain space only for that certain space to never change for years and years.
Mulch Tastic
Issues
This section has been suggested by Binweevils Robin
- There are now so many occasions of nobody winning the top prize which suggests a downfall in population, the feature itself getting too old or repetitive or both.
- Building on the idea of it being too repetitive; Mulch Tastic itself has been the same old process ever since it's debut in 2009 which is more than enough time for several people to get bored of it!
- The minimum top prize of 12,000 mulch is way too low for today's standards and is virtually next to nothing when it comes to defining the term 'a lot of mulch' nowadays.
- The only update which has been done to it in the past several years has been the change of graphical images which itself is an update which doesn't make the feature anymore exciting or new!

Gameplay on Bin Weevils itself
Issues
- Ages ago, you never had weevils hanging around areas roleplaying from scripts.
- Ages ago, you never had weevils begging you to add them to your buddy list when you nicely told them that your list is full and then calling you 'mean' or saying that 'I am not your fan anymore' if you keep explaining to them how you don't have any free space.
- Ages ago, there were never weevils impersonating moderator and Bin Weevil character weevils and then actually claiming that they work for Bin Weevils.
- Ages ago, you never had so many hackers, that almost every time you go to 3D areas, you'll likely see someone out of bounds.
- Ages ago, people actually played the game rather than do all those things.
